YOU CAN'T AUTOMATE
LEADERSHIP

Developing Leaders
in the Digital Age
In today’s world, people seem to think technology will solve everything. Our businesses are certainly undergoing massive technological transformation. But the truth is that technology, like science, is merely a tool — and a limited one at that. Technology can’t fix poor leadership. It can’t make value judgments or difficult decisions. Technology can’t weigh ethical concerns or deliver terrible news with grace and humility.
Leaders need to be shaped by leaders who have been shaped by defining moments, who have been put to the test and refined by fire. It takes a lot of hard work to train the next generation of leaders, and it’s not for the faint of heart.
In short, you can’t automate leadership. You can, however, develop great leaders in the digital age.
